A super quick and easy snack to curb the late night post dinner sweet tooth munchies. Using bananas as the base for this dessert is essential for a good night’s rest due to it’s nutrient profile: magnesium-rich to help calm the nervous system and reduce stress and tryptophan-rich to help convert serotonin (feel good hormone) and melatonin (sleep hormone) in the body. Try to consume a banana that is on the greener side instead of yellow as the less ripe banana (green) is lower on the glycemic index and will not raise your blood sugar as much leading to better sleep quality.

The Ingredients
- Diced Bananas
- Lily’s Semi-Sweet Style Baking Chips (stevia sweetened)
- Walnuts or pistachios
- 100% Organic Virgin Coconut Oil (Cold-Pressed, Unbleached, and Unrefined)
- Maldon Sea Salt Flakes
The Toppings
- 1 tbsp Maldon Sea Salt Flakes
- Crushed walnuts or pistachios
- Melted Semi-Sweet Chocolate
The Instructions
- Dice up two bananas and place onto a non-stick mat.
- Melt 1/2 cup chocolate chips along with 2 tablespoons coconut oil in the microwave.
- Dip the top half of the banana chunks into the melted chocolate, place onto non-stick mat, and top with crushed walnuts or pistachios and maldon sea salt flakes.
- Place in freezer and let sit for around 20 minutes or until chocolate is hardened.
